Quantum Delta NL Information Session

On 9 April, Quantum Delta NL received the incredible news that the Netherlands’ National Growth Fund invests €615 million Euro into QDNL, to further scale the growth of our national quantum ecosystem.

National Agenda Quantum Technology
The basis of the proposal which was submitted to the National Growth Fund is the NAQT; the Netherlands’ National Agenda for Quantum Technology. The NAQT is comprised of 8 pillars: 3 catalyst programs, 4 actionlines, and the underlying fundament of expanding our national Cleanroom Facility infrastructure.

Information Session
This virtual Information Session will start with a plenary opening in which general questions will be addressed. QDNL will inform you about the process behind the full endorsement of the proposal, further explain the proposal itself, what this means for Quantum Delta NL, what this could potentially mean for you, and so forth. After a break of ten minutes, you can join the coordinators of the program’s eight pillars in a separate breakout, to ask more specific questions.

Part 9: Why we need error correction

For serious quantum computing, we need to dramatically reduce the likelihood of error of each elementary step – not just a little bit, but by a factor of millions. With several recent breakthrough, this is the right time to understand the importance of error correction.

Part 4: The applications of quantum networks

If we’re building computers that deal with qubits, superposition and entanglement, wouldn’t these computers also need some way to send qubits to each other? This is the dream of the quantum internet: a network that exchanges quantum-mechanical photons between devices all around the world, parallel to our well-known ‘classical’ internet.
