Quantum Amsterdam welcomes Richard van Harderwijk as new Business Developer

Quantum Amsterdam welcomes Richard van Harderwijk as the new Business Developer and coordinator of the Quantum Application Lab. He will perform these roles from November 1.

He will strengthen the quantum innovation ecosystem in Amsterdam and will act as spider in the web for both initiatives and will be responsible for initiating new collaborative projects with external parties. His many years of experience as project manager and in managing change processes in all kinds of sectors – from the legal sector to logistics, come in very handy here.

Richard will participate on behalf of Amsterdam in the national valorization team of the Quantum Delta NL growth fund programme. We are pleased with his arrival and look forward to the growth and prosperity of the quantum technology theme in Amsterdam.

Part 4: The applications of quantum networks

If we’re building computers that deal with qubits, superposition and entanglement, wouldn’t these computers also need some way to send qubits to each other? This is the dream of the quantum internet: a network that exchanges quantum-mechanical photons between devices all around the world, parallel to our well-known ‘classical’ internet.
